With so much interest in the topic, the Orbita calendar’s starting to fill up with events focused on emerging healthcare technologies. Over the next several weeks, we’ll be participating in three of them. If you’re planning on attending any one of these interesting events, please stop by to chat – and see for yourself how Orbita is helping organizations like yours optimize their digital home care solutions.
MedCity ENGAGE, the premier event on patient engagement innovation, takes place on October 18-19 in San Diego/LaJolla. This exec-level focuses on innovative approaches to one of the most significant challenges facing healthcare: patient engagement. On Tuesday, October 18th, at 3:10 p.m., Orbita President Nathan Treolar is a featured presenter at MedCity’s Fireside Chat. The topic? What can Amazon’s Echo Do for Healthcare. Echo is a device that can look up recipes, set alarms, and conduct Internet searches. All via voice command. Nathan will be joined by Dr. John Loughnane, Chief of Innovation at Winter Street Ventures as they explore the possibilities Echo holds for healthcare. As Nate has said, “Voice is the ultimate universal remote control, and can help redefine patient engagement.” Learn more (and see how Echo can work as a healthcare cyber-assistant), and be sure to say hello to Nathan while you’re there.
We didn’t need to travel very far for our next event. Our town is, after all, a hub for health information technology.
Partners Connected Healthcare Symposium, will be held in Boston, October 20-21. The Symposium was created to foster innovative thinking around how personal consumer health technologies can be applied to support new healthcare delivery models. This is a “change-agent” conference, and Orbita is playing an important role in providing technology that’s critical to bringing about changes to healthcare delivery. Organizations are using our single platform to leverage social computing, analytics and content experiences – to personalize care and service delivery. Orbita will be taking part in the Symposium Expo, so come by to see how Orbita is extending the newest capabilities of connectivity, mobile apps, and sensor-enabled devices to create next-generation home health monitoring, education, engagement, and collaboration.
Next, we’re heading to the IoT Summit Chicago, November 9-10. This year’s summit will explore some of the most timely issues involving the Internet of Things, and will look specifically at a number of different verticals. One of those verticals is healthcare. On Thursday, November 10th, at 11:30 a.m., Orbita’s Nate Treolar is participating in a panel entitled: IoT in Healthcare: The State and Direction. The panel will focus on some of the dramatic changes that have come about in medical technology over the past several years. Nate will share the stage with representatives from Hitachi and Nant Health. If you’re at the IoT Summit, you won’t want to miss what’s sure to be a lively discussion.
We look forward to seeing you at one of these events!
