Today we are very pleased to announce our partnership with PN Medical, an industry-leader in pulmonary and speech therapy technology. PN Medical is using Orbita digital home healthcare platform to power applications for their digitally connected respiratory muscle training (RMT) device – Breather+™.
Breather+™ is the next generation of PN Medical’s very successful Breather RMT device, which is prescribed by physicians and therapists to measure and improve lung function, and improve speech and swallowing probems due to decreased breath support. Sensors embedded into the newest Breather+™ device capture lung function data to monitor therapy progress and enable more targeted and personalized treatement and intervention. PN Medical is using Orbita to capture and process data from the Breather +™ and deliver it to a mobile application and clinical dashboard for remote monitoring and care management.
The fully digital, data-driven experience of the Breather+™ has the potential to reduce emergencies and hospitalizations for people with chronic conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) congestive heart failure (CHF,) hypertension and dysphagia, while reducing fatigue, improving exercise capacity, and, ultimately, improving quality of life.
